We are looking forward to seeing you at Take Charge. Period.’s second annual Party. Period. event! Take Charge. Period. is a 501c3 that collects and distributes menstrual hygiene products for women in need. We depend heavily on the benefits of this event. Last year we raised enough money and packages of pads and tampons to fulfill our commitment to our recipients for almost half the year!
So, what can you expect at the party this year?
Vendor Tables – You will have the opportunity to see and purchase multiple vendors’ products and artwork.
Selective Raffle – Each vendor has donated an item to the raffle. You will select item/s you want to have the opportunity to win and place your ticket/s in the bag that corre...sponds to that item. The tickets are $5 each or 10 for $40. The drawings will start at 4:15.
Speaker – We are honored to have the lovely Marilynn Wohlstadter‎, Jewish Family Service Pantry Coordinator, speak about the benefit of receiving the pads and tampons Take Charge. Period. delivers to the JFS pantry every month.
Drinks and treats – We will have drinks and treats donated by The Spice of Life Catering as well as tasty sweets donated by vendors.
Menstruation Education – You will have the chance to learn more about menstruation: What is it? How do we eliminate the taboo? What are the newest ways to manage menstrual flow? What is a period in poverty look like? And, for those that don’t know, what do cramps feel like?
We look forward to seeing you! Please spread the word and invite your friends.
